Helpful Q & A's

Question: What is the schedule for online specials?

The specials schedule (or time slot) for kids to work on Art, PE, Music, and/or French is 1:45-3pm. This is a time Morris Brandon has set aside for your child to work on assignments related to enrichment.  Keep in mind, students can work on one or several specials during this time slot.  Mr. Carr sees his students normally once every 6th school day, so ideally, 3-4 artworks a month is my goal for your child.

How is art being assessed?

For ART, I am asking that your child visit this website and select an activity and submit it electronically.  Currently, I'm asking that your child PARTICIPATE in art and choose an activity that they might enjoy and send it my way.  Please understand participation is a request and we remain flexible to help your child's day run smoothly.

How can I submit artwork to Mr. Carr?

I love seeing all the artwork making its way to me!  You can send me a picture via email to ryan.carr@atlanta.k12.ga.us or simply tag me on Twitter @BrandonBeeArtPC .  Be sure to include your child's homeroom teacher's name.

How is art being taught online?

During the 1:45-3pm time slot for specials, instruction could like many things.  YouTube has been a great way to relay information and lessons to kids in a format where they can pause, rewind and fast forward through activities to meet their needs.  Please encourage your child to pick from the "YouTube Art Videos" tab and pick something that interest them.  Mr. Carr is updating videos based on a number of variables such as age groups, art supplies, and content.  Here, you should find videos relevant to many ages as well art supplies you may or may not have at home.  Feel free to improvise with art supplies you currently have.
